The Love & Respect Experience by Emerson Eggerichs Review

I had the pleasure of reviewing the book The Love & Respect Experience, by Emerson Eggerichs.  I’ll admit it, I wasn’t impressed.

The “devotional” has 52 sections, and discusses issues for both “pink” and “blue”.  Beyond that, I found no depth, no real material to work with.  The sections held facets that truly didn’t pertain to my husband and I, our lifestyle in a conservative home, or our marriage.  It portrays the wife as a shopaholic and the husband as a bumbling idiot, which I found offensive on both counts.

I honestly wouldn’t recommend this to anyone who likes to delve into scripture and devotions.  There’s no meat on the bones with this one.  I’d recommend to simply stay with the Bible.

Disclosure of Material Connection: I received this book free from the publisher through the BookSneeze®.com <http://BookSneeze®.com> book review bloggers program. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
